Experience

Heledd is a researcher at the Welsh School of Architecture (WSA) at Cardiff University. Her background is in Mathematics and Building Performance Modelling. She was previously part of work package 5 of the Low Carbon Built Environment (LCBE-LCRI) which focused on Urban Scale Energy Demand and Supply. During this post, she developed her interest in the use of GIS and statistical data to aid in modelling energy demand. A method for modelling the energy use of dwellings within a Local Authority was established as well as a method of using EPCs to predict the energy consumption characteristics and potential improvement of dwellings on a neighbourhood scale.

Role in SOLCER

Heledd's role within SOLCER will be to expand on previous work and develop modelling techniques capable of investigating the potential of energy supply, storage and demand systems on an urban and regional scale in Wales.
